A Life's Journey 20cm x 40cm Acrylic Paint on Canvas December, 2019 |
Exhibition Text¨A life´s journey¨ expresses the amount of obstacles that someone goes throughout their life in which expresses how someone might feel and also how someone is able to handle their problems. Thereof I created these painting to explain how someone life can go from something so nice and beautiful to something so sorrow and harsh whether if it is something they might be facing or if its some sort of personal problem. Each of these paintings I personally want to include a story to which I may or may not add to the end of the page. However this does not mean that if this is what these paintings express from my point of view but someone else can see these art works and think the totally opposite and have different feelings and moods towards this.

The Process:
Inspirations
For my inspiration I found not only images of my own that I took myself but also images online that I was able to come up with my own ideas but as well as being able to come up with new images for me to create. Therefore I am also considering some of my planning sketches to be my inspiration due to how many ideas I was able to come up with and for me to be able to find ways in which I was able to create these paintings. For my third painting I was also able to find an image online similarly to the one I painted in which I was able to come up with a similar type of style but changing the frame and making it more color towards the whole background.

Planning Sketches
For my planning sketches I was able to come up with these type of style backgrounds and then from playing around with the paint I was then able to find fun ways for being able to connect one piece of canvas to another and then create different types of tones for one another. However I found it pretty difficult at some point as I was creating these sketches because I would constantly create the same type of style so then I found myself being able to look at online acrylic paintings and then get some new ideas and then create my own ideas for me to be able to find what I can do. In the end I was then able to find a new way for me to create star type of sky in the end with my third canvas.
Critique:
Reflection
At the end of this project I was very happy with my outcome which not only shows how much I was able to do but thereof what I was able to create. In the end I was then able to find a way in which I can find myself creating all these 3 canvases and having meanings behind them. However I feel that I could have done a little more of figure shaping into my canvases. Throughout the process of making these 3 canvases I feel that I could have managed my time much more better rather than leaving it towards the end, however I have learned that sometimes you cannot rush good quality, which by any means that there are certain things that cannot be done in a matter of very low time span.
Compare and Contrast
Comparing what I wanted to create at the end of this certain point I was very satisfied with what I got and I was certain of what I was creating my art piece. However comparing the 3 canvases to the rest there is a huge difference between one another. Another comparison that all these 3 would be the format that each of the canvases that were made, in which not all were made similarly to the other.
Contrasting the 3 canvases there can be very little similarities to the 3 of them in which shows how each of them have bright colors and how they are able to pop out the colors that are included. Another contrast between one another canvas they all have black figures that pop out from the bright background that it has and a dark colored figure was done in the middle of the canvas for it to pop out to the audience.

ACT Responses
Clearly explain how you are able to identify the cause and effect relationship between your inspiration and its effect on your artwork?
I am able to identify the cause and effect between my inspiration because my inspiration and my artwork are somewhat similarly the same but the fact that I was able to get inspired by my own sketches that I was able to make, however I was also inspired by the images I was able to find online.
What is the overall approach the author has regarding your topic?
The overall approach I was able to get after I was done creating these 3 pieces of artwork I was able to feel successful to approaching my topic and expressing a certain tone or mood.
What kind of generalizations and conclusions have you discovered about people, ideas, cultures, ect. while researching inspiration?
The type of generalization I was able to get and conclusion I was able to come up with is that no matter how nice and beautiful an image can be there can always be a twist in the end of the image and the meaning it may behind it, in other words no on should judge a book by its cover.
What was the central theme or idea around your inspirational research?
The central theme or idea I was able to get after the creation of these pieces of artwork is the journey of a young adults life and how much there is to it.
What kind of inference did you make while reading your research?
The inference I was able to make as reading my research is the fact that there are a variety of things that makes an artist and their artwork, in which not all artists will forever remain the same as the day before of how they previously acted.
