My name is Jose Reveles and I am currently a senior at Ronald Reagan High School.
My vision for this body of work demonstrates how I as an artist and an individual have grown artistically and personally. This body of work demonstrates the personal aspects of my life through the years of art, this also explains my personal beliefs and the style I have discovered of my own. I have explored, researched, used materials and techniques onto my work that have not only demonstrated my growth in my art skills and issues I was able to problem solve. Using my own knowledge into my work and exploring new techniques and ideas allowed me to do the artwork that I do today. Some of the identified themes in my work have become from past experiences, these experiences come from college galleries, personal favorite artists and even then some of my own classmates work, these explorations allow me as an artist to influence, brainstorm and find new ideas. These ideas are what move me, think outside the box and have a more open minded feeling. Being influenced by others' work created new ideas, new techniques and new pieces of work. The way I have exhibited my artwork can contribute to convey an audience by, mood, style and certainly size. Throughout the strand of my artworks, I created to my ability the average amounts of size, style and mood that the audience gets from looking at my work at first glance. I was aiming for the first eyesight, first feeling and first impression of which the audience gets when they see my work, this may be whether they feel a certain way or what they see and what they don’t see. Some of the strategies that I developed between the artwork and the viewer is the first thing they see when seeing my work. This can also be determined by how they see my work and how they feel, and if they see a meaning behind the work without telling them the theme or tone. My visual impact that I want to give out to the viewer is to find other people's perspectives such as our generation today, discover what us as young adults learn and do during our everyday lives and what we go through on a personal aspect. The way I have arranged and presented my artworks support the relationship between the relationship and connection is presented by exploring, learning and developing new ideas to the audience that has not been shown before. I intend to consider the audience to understand and explore a new exhibition of body of art and understand the aesthetic that we as one student have of our own compared to a million more artists around the world. |
